Doutora e mestra em Linguagens Visuais pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (BR 2020/2010), e bacharel em Artes Visuais pela Florida International University (EUA, 2002). Desde 2000, além do trabalho como artista, colabora com instituições de arte e espaços independentes como professora, produtora e curadora. Atualmente é cogestora do NowHere Lisboa, onde também oferece cursos e acompanhamento de projetos de outres artistes.

Baldan trabalha especialmente com questões intrínsecas à moradia e às relações humanas que são estabelecidas entre lugares e histórias. Sua obra faz parte de importantes coleções públicas e privadas, tendo sido exposta, premiada e publicada.

Alguns projetos e exposições realizadas: "De Ciudad Abierta a Ventanas" (montagem piloto do projeto em colaboração com Nico Espinoza, Maura Grimaldi e Patricia Black), NowHere, Lisboa (PT, 2023); “Terra em tempos: fotografias do Brasil”, MAM Rio (BR, 2022); “Schlange” (Sensing the city - Sense of the city), Projektraum Zwitschermaschine Berlin (ALE, 2022); 17. Mostra Internazionale di Architettura, Participazioni Nazionali (Brasile), La Bienalle di Venezia (IT, 2021); Bienal de Fotografia de Vila Franca de Xira (PT, 2021); "Estofo", Galeria Anita Schwartz (BR, 2017); "Perabé", Finalista Prêmio Pipa, MAM Rio (BR, 2016) e Centro Cultural São Paulo (BR, 2015); "Build Up", MdM Gallery, (FR, 2014); "Índice", MAM Rio (BR, 2013).

Alguns prêmios: Stipendium-Sonderprogramm, Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Europa (ALE, 2020); Viva Arte! SMC RJ (BR, 2015); XI Prêmio Marc Ferrez de Fotografia da Funarte (BR, 2010).

Desenvolveu o projeto “Monumentalidade como Coletividade” para a publicação "O MASP de Lina: 50 anos do edifício na Avenida Paulista" (BR, 2018) e participou do Clube de Colecionadores de Fotografia do MAM-SP (BR, 2016).

Publicou os livros "Derivadores" (com Jonas Arrabal) em 2016 e "São Casas" em 2012.

Atualmente vive entre Portugal e Brasil.

Ph.D. and Master in Visual Languages from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (BR 2020/2010), and Bachelor in Visual Arts from Florida International University (USA, 2002). Since 2000, besides her work as an artist, she collaborates with art institutions and independent spaces as a teacher, producer, and curator. Currently, she is co-manager of NowHere Lisboa, where she also offers courses and supervision other artists' projects.

Baldan works especially with issues intrinsic to housing and the human relationships that are established between places and histories. Her work is part of important public and private collections and has been exhibited, awarded, and published.
